Use GoodSearch and GoodShop

What is GoodSearch? GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. So all you need to do is go to www.GoodSearch.com  There is a gray box that asks "Who do you goodsearch for?" Type in Addis Faith Foundation and you're good to go. Also, on this page is a blue link that says, "Add GoodSearch to your IE, Firefox, or Mac toolbar". If you click on that, and then "download now" you will add GoodSearch to your toolbox. That way, it is right there whenever you want to do a search. Don't be afraid of this. I've been using it for several months now and it really is easy. If you don't get it, ask someone for help. It's worth it. A penny a search times a bunch of users can really add up.

What is GoodShop? Now this one I really love! GoodShop is an online shopping mall which donates a percentage of each purchase to your favorite cause. Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's, Kodak, Shutterfly, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting Addi's Faith Foundation! It's easy. Before you ever buy anything online, go to www.GoodShop.com . Type in Addi's Faith Foundation as the group you want to support. (You only have to type this in the first time, from then on it will already show in the box). Click on the store you wish to shop at. You will then see a page that says, "Thank you for supporting Addi's Faith Foundation". Wait about a second and you will be directed to the official web site of that store. Shop as you normally would and that's it. As long as you have reached that site through GoodShop (the steps I just walked you through) a percentage of your total purchase will automatically go to Addi's Faith Foundation. How cool is that?! Remember, if you get click happy and jump off the site to another and back on, AFF will not get credit. You must go through GoodSearch in order to receive credit. There is literally thousands of stores on here so have fun!

Pop Tab Collections

400 million pop tabs = $4 million

Here is another incredibly easy way to help. What a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling. So get your kids involved!

What do I do? Easy...pull off the tab on any aluminum cans, collect them, then bring them to your local Ronald McDonald House. That's it. I take my to the house on Holcomb in the medical center downtown Houston. You can find your nearest house by visiting the web site www.rmhc.com

Why? Ronald McDonald Houses collect pop tabs instead of entire aluminum cans because the tabs are pure high-quality aluminum, unlike cans, which consist of aluminum and other alloys. Tabs are also easier to store than whole cans.

How can this help? Little things add up quickly and make huge differences, especially when everyone does their part. Ronald McDonald House Charities are utter lifesavers for thousands of families. When caring for a sick child, and spending weeks, months, and even years in the hospital, it is so nice to have a place to find comfort, a home-cooked meal, laundry facilities, playrooms, and maybe most importantly fellow families walking your same path. Anyone who has been in this position knows exactly how tremendously important this place is and would have no problem pulling a few pop tabs to support it.
