Hello everyone and welcome to the new Addi’Äôs Faith Foundation website. I am so excited to have this site up and running. I hope that you will stop by often to learn about our fundraising events, check on the dear children with brain tumors, and continue this journey with our family. We have so many dreams for this foundation and they will only come to pass with your continued support.
Volunteer
Addi’Äôs Faith Foundation is off to a great start only because of our wonderful volunteers. Without the support of so many gracious people this foundation would not even be off the ground. Thank you is not big enough, but I’Äôll say it anyway’ĶTHANK YOU! Since AFF is completely run by volunteers we will continue to need your help. Every event is unique and will present all kinds of different volunteer opportunities. At this time we’Äôd like to compile a list of all people willing to help with various aspects of the foundation. Then, as events come about, we will shoot out an e-mail to our volunteer list describing our specific volunteer needs. You can then respond if and when you see an opportunity that works for you. If you are interested in being a part of our foundation you can click on this link to provide us with your information. Thanks again and I look forward to working with you in the future.
The Benders (This is where I’Äôll be journaling about our family. Kind of like continuing updates from the care pages.)
It’Äôs now been 8 months since Addi died and we are still adjusting. Often, I find myself trying to envision what she would be like now. I can almost see her running around my house as a sweet, smiling 2 ¬‡ year old. I think that this is a very special age (forget the terrible 2’Äôs’ĶI think they’Äôre the terrific 2’Äôs) and I cannot think of anything more precious than a 2 year old girl (except maybe a 2 yr. old boy!) So not only do I miss her, but I also miss what would have been. The grieving process is one heck of a ride let me tell ya.
Our family really is doing great though. We’Äôve settled into our new home, we’Äôre closer than ever, and we’Äôve all been given a fresh pair of eyes to view the world. We’Äôve had a fantastic summer and although we’Äôre not quite ready for school to start, we are ready to get back to a routine. Those late nights are starting to take a toll on us all!
From our family to yours’Ķwe wish you all a happy and blessed school year! |
